Amazons Solitaire

How to play Amazons Solitaire

Amazons Solitaire is a simple solitaire card game, that can be a bit confusing the first time you play it. If you've never played Amazons Solitaire, I suggest you start by playing my game Amazon Solitaire, which is a modified version of Amazons Solitaire designed to simplify the game for someone playing for the first time.

The following cards are removed from the deck in a game of Amazons Solitaire. 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, and Kings. Your goal is to build up the four foundations from Ace to Queen by suit. Because, 2-6 has been removed from play, after placing the Ace in a foundation, you skip to a 7 of the same suit. Aside from this odd complication the game is really quite easy. You can not move cards between the columns, you can only deal more cards (4 at a time) into the columns by clicking the deck. At the beginning of a game you have 4 cards in play. Place as many of them as you can into the foundation, then click the deck to deal 4 more cards into the columns. When you run out of cards in the deck, clicking "Reset Deck" will pick up all the cards from the tableau and place them back into the deck. You can play through the deck as many times as you like, so you're guaranteed to win the game eventually. How quickly you can win is largly luck dependent. In spite of this fact, the game is oddly compelling and fun to play.
